Just got mine last week. Had a launch 360 that latest nearly 2 years before I got the red ring. No big deal to me, I've got the warranty. In a month max I'll have the console back and repaired.

got mine on my highschool graduation day. it was before the warranty extension so i just put it up and got a new one because i didnt feel like waiting months to get it back plus spending $100 to get it fixed. then one day i decided i wanted to try and fix it myself. failed. the next day they extend the warranty. awesome. i opened it up the day before thus voiding the warranty. i sent it in anyways and they fixed it. w00t. my xbox that i got in june is still kicking with a 5 year (yea. 5 YEARS!) warranty on it that transfers to a new 360 if mine ever breaks

You would think setting up your repair for you 360 would be easy but it WASN'T. They couldn't verify any of the addresses i tried. They couldn't understand the fact that i live on a farm so the addresses are different. Getting my wii repaired on the other hand was easy, a LOT easier.

I would just like to state that just about every single Xbox 360 i have seen in strores as a demo display has got the red ring.
