    It IS the DVD drive spinning at 12x causing that noise, not the fan.

    yep,,its mainly ya dvd drive,mines the same,,especially on gears of war and oblivion. You only need to look at the size of the power supply to realise how power hungry it is,,you could run a small village off a xbox 360 PSU..lolol
