As previously posted today, Activisions recent conference call confirmed there commitment to the Wii console by announcing their plans to double their gaming offering to the console.
In the call CEO Mike Griffith stated that Guitar Hero will be making it’s way to the Wii:

The key difference in our strategy versus the prior cycle, is that in addition to full support on Sony and Microsoft platforms, we will aggressively target the Nintendo platforms consistent with our multi-platform strategy and Nintendo’s expected growth. In fiscal 2008, we will double our offerings on the DS and the Wii, including Spider-Man, Shrek, Transformers, and Guitar Hero.

It is still a long way off but coming from the Activision CEO i think it is safe to say this is pretty much confirmed now.

Ok they say there be offering games like Spiderman in 2008 but I thought SPideman 3 the was coming out this May along with the Movie. Of do they mean there be a new Spiderman game next year along with this year?

I personally don't like Activision for only making games based on movies, shows, comics, etc, if they come up with a good action or adven ture game then I will shut up..but Activision sucks

I've never been a fan of games based on movies, etc although I did pick up X-Men Legends and I love both of em. However we have to realize that there are people who are obsessed with games like this and will play it regardless of the fact that they know whats going to happen...lol. As for GH I've never played it or or heard about it so I can't say whether or not I'll like it.

If yes to any or all the games for you
But I hate allmost all movie based games

No strings to cut your fingers (but it dose hurt ather 3 hours play)

I am more excited by this than any other game coming out for the Wii this year!
I have actually contemplated picking up an old, used PS2 just so I can get guitar Hero. Now that I don't have to, I just need to wait and stew in all my fanboy-ish glee.

I was saying just the other day that they should have a Guitar Hero Wii game it seems perfect the one thing that I wonder about is using the Wii Remote and Nunchuck to form a guitar which I assume they will but then they wouldn't have enough buttons perhaps they would come out with a controller like they did PS2

Oh yeah! I heard of that!! Thats going to get so many sales. Honestly though, in my oppinion guitar hero isnt that great. Besides Nintendo could make a better game, but then again being your friendly (to nintedno fans anyway) Wiichat Nintendo fanatic statistics guy i would say getting guitar hero would get more sales for the Wii.

agreed, I personally don't even like ANY game companies besides Nintendo, but recently I opend up to ubisoft(NO NOT JUST CUZ OF RED STEEL!) EA games, and Hudson.

Easier, yeah. Better, no. It's not like you can play whatever you want on it, it's just a game with a game controller. I'll admit it helps my playing a little bit, though. I don't tend to play stuff like Bark At The Moon from GH1 so it kinda forces me to be a little quicker.
Anyway... I'm not much of an Activision fan either. I love Spider-Man 2 but it got redundant long before you unlock everything. I love X-Men Legends but I think they kinda milked that franchise with Marvel Ultimate Alliance. They shot their wad. They tend to do that. Find success with a game and milk it. Tony Hawk's games have been dead to me since THUG 2. It's like having pizza for supper every night. It sounds great at first but after the same thing you get pretty sick of it and don't want it at all. I'm afraid them getting Guitar Hero could do that. They put a patent on "Guitar Villain" and something else similar already, whatever that could mean in the end.

I'm with you there. Just about every Nintendo system I've owned, 90% of the games were produced by Nintendo. The only exceptions seem to be EA Sports titles. I have more PS2 games than GameCube, but the quality of the GameCube games is so much higher overall. I'm still anxious to see what we get on the Wii in this year alone. I'm also hoping they don't just release one major Mario title on this system, though. They've done that with N64 and GameCube. As much as I love Mario Party and the sports games, nothing beats the straight up Mario games. I guess Super Paper Mario might be considered one, but not the way Super Mario Galaxy will be. Then you have Zelda and Metroid. Those 3 alone make Nintendo my favorite company by far. Stuff like WarioWare and Wii Sports just add to that. Even stuff like Pokemon and Animal Crossing sets it apart from any other company.
I'm big on Ubisoft, too, mainly cuz of Prince Of Persia. Hopefully TMNT is the best game ever! 
I used to love Konami and Capcom but they seem to kinda milk certain franchises like Castlevania and Mega Man to the point that I can't even keep up how many games there are.
