The infamous Swiss electronic manufacturer Logitech, which makes many gaming peripherals for all of the home consoles (PC included), is releasing a pair of new guitar and drums peripherals licensed for the Guitar Hero series, and the upcoming Band Hero game. The guitar is estimated to retail for $199 USD. It will feature a neck made out of real wood, frets and tuning pegs made out of metal, and the fingerboard will be made out of rosewood. Another nice feature, according to Logitech, is that the strum bar and fret buttons will be “virtually silent”. This will let you hear the game better and hear less of the controller. Like other Wii Guitars this one will also be wireless.

As for the drums, they will be “fully customizable” according to Logitech. You will be able to adjust the cymbals and drum pads to fit your desired distance and range, just as you can on the World Tour drum kit. Logitech claims they will be silent, which is a nice touch especially when some drum kits are exactly silent (*cough*Rock Band drums*cough*). The pedal will be made of durable stainless steel. It’ll have a 30 foot wireless range, and it will run for $229 USD.

Both peripherals will require the Wii remote for use, and will be released sometime in October. For more information visit the links below:

My thoughts: they look awesome and durable, but they're out of my price range for Guitar Hero controllers. =/

They do look good... but honestly... who would pay $200 for game controllers, especially when the ones you probably already have work fine

I really need those drums but I can get a bigger real drum for the same price. Also it's not worth buying those things I mean you spend at least over $300 for a guitar and drums when it might break in like 4 months depending on how rough you are. Your better off buying an xbox elite with that kind of money.
