1. There is no end in space but matter and energy are definately not infinite.
2. Aliens could live any distance away from a star. The atmosphere is more important to life than its proximity to a light source.

ET sets a good example. I beleive aliens do exist and look like ET. They are just one differant lifeform. I also thought I once saw a UFO...
