Cubs should be able to sweep the Pirates, Padres did, that makes 7 wins in a row

but now we play Colorado who just swept the Dodgers in a 4 game set, ugh. Well that's all I got for tonight, got some homework to take care of.

redsox were winning, tigers won. both teams were happy seeing the scoreboard at 4-0 toronto bottom 9... things werent looking good. Until, the Yankees rally and score 4 runs bottom 9 to tie the game. game should have been over. Posada hit a grounder which would have been a single but halladay hit the ball, the 2nd basemen got it, didnt make the best throw, the firstbasemen caught it, but it popped in the air and as soon as it popped in the air, Posada hit first. SAFE! then Cano hit a single then Giambi, then it was tied... Now its top 13. 2 outs for toronto

and the Yanks lost 5-4 in 14 innings

That was a pretty thrilling ending for sure, I just wish the Padres would win already, top of th 14th inning tied with the Rockies 1-1, Peavy won't get the win, but won't get the loss either. Pads need to get some run support for their ace once in a while. Damnit the Rockies just hit a solo shot, 2-1, well looks like we're going to be 1.5 back of AZ and 1.5 up on the Phillies in the wild card. I had hopes, but oh well.

Wouldn't worry too much S.S. your boys don't have anything to worry about, and IMO they are much better than the Indians.

Haha, seriously though, they just have to win one game out of the next nine to win their division, I'm just hoping for best overall goin into the playoffs. It's a close race...

Yea, best overall would be nice, but would you rather face the Red Sox or the Yankees in the first round of the playoffs? Neither is a pretty situation, the AL is stacked this year.

To bad the Mets didn't win the game. The Marlins committed 6 errors.

We have 5 more games against them. I really want to throw a wrench in there plans.

Predictions for the NL East anyone?? Phils or Mets. I'm hoping for NY, but I honestly think that the Phils will win the division. The Mets have so many blown saves lately, it's making me really mad.

Predictions...sure why not.

Looking at both their schedules for the rest of the season, but also taking into account their recent play, I'm going to go with the Mets winning the division, and at this rate the Phillies winning the wild card, because my Padres are folding under the pressure. Can't be the Rockies even if their lives depended on it, then they go to play against the Brewers to finish off the season, I've lost faith in them.

The Padres will do it. Let's face it, the Phillies don't have a good track record when it comes to the end of the season chance. They always choke.

Mets will pull it off. I dont think they will play well this week. But they will win the games when phillies lose. So they will win the division. Cubs take Central. Arizona gets West, and not sure about the WC. Rockies are making a strong push..

Yanks ...1.5 back. GO YANKEES!!! Lets get Division!!
