With everyone talking about the iPhone, I decided to make a thread about the OpenMoko and see if anyone has even heard of it and what they think about it. For those of you who don't know what it is, it is pretty much a Linux based iPhone copy. Here is a link to their site. So how do you think this thing will do and would you ever buy one? I think it looks ****ing awesome and would definitely consider buying one, but I don't think they will sell too well.

There is a base model and an advanced model. They will sell them soon for $300 and $450, but they recommend that only developers buy them then since there will be a lot of bugs. When they are mass marketed they will be $450 and $600, but a lot of bugs will be fixed and there will be some hardware changes.
