Talk about anything poker here...
from texas hold 'em all the way to razz.. stopping at omaha, stud, 5 card draw, 7 card, HORSE, HOSE and any hi/lo.

Now i don't want anyone coming in here and saying it's gambling.. it's not, you can't compare poker to games such as blackjack. Blackjack your playing against the house, and you will eventually lose (as long as your not cheating, in which case you will get caught) poker your playing against other players. Gambling your betting against an event you can't effect, such as a score in a football game. In poker you have certain information, and have the opertunity to get out of a hand when you want.

only gambling there is to it, is going all in, the shuffling allready has determined who has the best hand. and you have no chance of getting out if you call all-in.


Anyway... if anyone wants to talk about bad-beats. good wins, or even stragies go ahead..


Personaly i play tight, i study my players and try and put them on tilt by changing my tactics and playing against there weakness, and then making them question there read on me.. which further more puts them on tilt in subsquent hands and i can felt them

i play weekly offline, at MTT events with varrying buy in's and different amoutns of tourniments each night.. get about £50 profit each week on average.

My downfall is online play, and thus don't really play it much, although made a good few hundred bucks in a week playing.

of course online and offline play is all hold 'em, but i do practice chinese poker as well as all other forms in online play money rooms.

anyway looking forward to hearing from fellow poker players.

i play a lot of poker, too... i started playing about a year ago.

i usually try to make it to the casinos in tunica, ms once every couple of weeks. i also play in a couple of home games each week around here. i play mostly hold em... along with a little omaha and omaha hi/lo.

i'm a very tight player, unless i'm drunk. it's easy for me to bluff because the people i play with a lot always assume i've got the nuts.

i used to play online a lot... but not much anymore, since most of it's been banned in the states (which is ridiculous).

If I understand correctly, the states haven't banned any sites. Certain sites just don't accept U.S. players anymore (ie: party)

There are plenty of good sites out there if you are still interested in playing.

Hey I want to practice online a bit but I dont want to play for money or sign up to anything , does anyone know a good site?

Syntax

Most of the sites require you to register an account. Also I believe you have to be 18+ to register online.

full tilts one is massive.

but you do have to have an account (just like having an account on a forum, u need to give your e-mail and a user name and password, as well as your age.)

well... they've all but banned it, i guess. i can still play on pokerstars, ultimatebet, and full tilt.

if you want to play free, you can set up play-money accounts... instead of .com, type .net
