Theres not even a name for this yet, just a brand; HP. its still in prototype but it supposedly works somewhat to what happens in the video, with sensors somehow..the future is near!

ok now that is just insane!!!!! am i understanding that right it incorpates real life with gameplay? and it has a bluetooth headset....thats sick....is there a website or anything with more info on it?....but GREAT find!!!!

It looks cool man, especially the whole real world gameplay. But I really think that by doing that, you could either:

1. Look like an idiot in the streets.
2. You may be run over by passing traffic.
3. Get beaten up by thugs who notice your very expensive looking toy.

But other than that, it is a great idea.

2019.. I'm guessing it might be cause of the things such as the overview mode in the game. The camera can't see around corners, yet the overview can, so yea, thats gotta be something pretty amazing. It's gonna be expensive, but I think it's gonna be a flop, even if it's really cool.

Edit: Just read the stuff in the link. So it's gonna work with GPS technology! Every thing's gonna be pre-rendered, so it's gonna take a hell of a long time to pre-render everything.

Edit2: I'm getting everything wrong! Just found out, that players will actually create the areas themselves, and then share with others. So, I don't know why the long delay.

Okay, I've been researching some more, and I think I finally understand. You can already download mscapes, which are the things which turn your area into a game. They are made using software, so to make them, you need to be able to program. All thats needed to play, is a compatible, portable GPS system (with a camera, and stuff of course). Here, only a device is being shown, but mscapes are already here! The whole concept doesn't that great any more... Where did the info of it coming out in 2019 come from? It really shouldn't take that long...

Look like great technology, but I still wouldn't feel comfortable carrying that around my town. But 2019, that means you can expect it by 2020, we'll all forget about this by then.

I can't see this as a success in the future. It's ridiculously dangerous. I mean, would you really wander round streets, with something you payed (thousands?) for! And like mentioned above, traffic is a problem.

Perhaps if centres designated to this sort of gameplay were opened, like a paintball place where people run round the forest and shoot one another.

I could see a law being passed about these in the streets. Too many accidents would occur. They'd be a menace to the public.

lol yeah, thats what i was thinking..like imagine gta 7 or so, hijacking cars picking up hookers..ambushing strip clubs, it could be very dangerous to children
