Big annual poker tournament at my friends house during the superbowl. $20 buy-ins and last year, the winner won $350 bucks. I took 3rd and won like 50 or something.

Usually we get like 30 people or so, with 25 playing the actual poker game, should be great, as always.

- What kind of EB Games store cannot access its own website to verify a Canada-wide promotion? For ****'s sake, I sincerely hate the place. Not only because of their shitty computers, but because they should be ****ing aware of the promotion in the first place. I've worked in retail. We got that shit hammered into our head. I still remember the stuff I had to recite to unsuspecting customers, "Hi! I'm not sure if you're aware of our promotions or not, but right now our lingerie is all buy one get one 50% off, outerwear is 25% off and everything in the sale department is an additional 50% off the lowest ticketed price. My name is Celeste if you need anything," (insert sympathetic smile that says "I'm sorry for harassing you, I know you probably only came in for pantyhose, but my manager makes me do this.")

I have to go there on Sunday. The new February promotion is that trade in values for a list of titles have increased dramatically. Including three games I own. And I'm in need of two PS3 games...so I'll try to brave the fail.

And yeah, I had to say that. Store policy was that every customer had to be approached and made aware of promotions within 90 seconds. Every time the doors opened there was an alarm that went off notifying us, so we couldn't get out of it. You heard that alarm, and the manager was staring at you expectantly to drop whatever you were doing and harass customers. Needless to say, customers didn't approve.
