I find that to be quite interesting. Can I ask how many you've been to?
The first two I went to were my sister (who I was very close to) and my grandmother (again, very close to). Both died of unforeseeable events/illnesses, so it was really hard to deal with.
Now, if I go to a funeral I'm wrecked. Even if I wasn't very close to the person, I just can't hold in my mourning of death in general.

My grandma died last year around Christmas. She was nice, but I can't say I was too close to her. Even if I was close to her, I doubt I would have cried. I don't cry. The only time I can ever remember profusely crying in public was in a situation that included a friend stabbing me in the back and a group of peers verbally attacking me. It was rather embarassing. I don't understand how crying works...
