What is your favorite quote from your favorite movie?
"Give me a daughter that looks just like you." - Said by a guy to his fiancee in the movie Guess Who. If I guy said that to me I would melt into a puddle of...awe. If awe was a liquid xD.

Wow Celeste, I would have expected you to be somehow more against the death penalty than I am.
Really? It's one of the few issues I don't feel comfortable forming an opinion on either way. Usually I'm confident and decisive choosing one side (typically the uuuuber liberal side) of a debate. This one is so different though, I understand both sides.
On one side, I say...if you kill someone, you aren't worthy of your own life. I'd even suggest a harsher method of execution...like DIAF.
On the other side, I totally understand the argument that lifetime imprisonment is ultimately more miserable than death, and the argument that "two wrongs don't make a right".

What movie or book has touched you in a way that you changed a part of your life or changed your life overall?
Movie: Stand By Me
Book: Hatchet
They each had pretty much the same influence. They are both kinda 'coming of age' stories. They are both pretty much the ones that really sparked my interest.
I watched Stand By Me over and over again. It was the first R rated movie I was allowed to see. So, in that sense it was kinda exciting, empowering, revealing, and enlightening all at once. There was so much I could relate to. At first, I just liked the story, but the more I watched it, the more I saw it as a piece of work. It made me think about how movies are made, and stuff like that.
Hatchet had pretty much the same effect on me. It was an amazing book. It really got me into reading. Before that, I kinda read as a chore. That was the first book I read for a second time for pleasure.
I suggest everyone, well....at least every boy or man see Stand By Me and read Hatchet.
I'm pretty sure the ice cream question isn't new. Ben and Jerry's - Chubby Hubby for me.
I highly recommend East of Eden by John Steinbeck for a book that will blow you away. I've never hated a character, let alone anyone, with the anger and intensity I hated one of the characters in this book. Granted I believe that was the author's intent.
When I was like 4 or 5, I was at a friend's house eating a popsicle and I really had to take a crap. My friend said I couldn't leave before I finished my popsicle and I didn't want to take a crap there. So I held it in and tried to finish, unfortunately it didn't work and I crapped my pants. I'm glad I don't remember how it felt.
