i believe anyone can gain confidence, just believe in urself, dont worry about rejection...rejection is something u learn from. you just got to have that frame of mind to dust urself off and try again.

1. Yes, actually you can gain confidence. Confidence is a mindset. You are not bound to certain restrictions of confidence levels when you are born.
2. An attention disorder is just that; a disease. A disease and an unideal mental trait are not comparable.

But for me that really isn't the problem. I honestly don't really care what other people think of me, but in certain public situations I just get nervous sometimes, it seems like its more of a physical thing.

Once you feel strongly enough that this is holding you back, than you will eventually change it. Some people find this out very quickly, why'll some may never change their ways. That's all I can tell you.

My point exactly. Why should life (or "potential" if you don't believe in conception), be punished for the "sins" "mistakes" or whatever you want to call it, of the mother.

And yes, looking down is part of cockiness.

Not necessarily. It is possible to feel confident in yourself without looking down on others.
