What is the purpose of seeking knowledge if you already have the knowledge in question? It is a waste of time, both yours and the people you ask.
Unless you realize that by asking others questions one can allow them to see what you understand and why thus passing your knowledge on to them.

How can asking someone a question make them more knowledgeable? The only true way to pass knowledge on is to tell them straight up. Even if you ask the question and tell them the right answer if they get it wrong, you're still telling them straight up as you are telling them in a declarative sentence, not an interrogative one.
Asking questions in education does nothing but quiz people on their knowledge (thus giving the teachers knowledge on how their students are doing), it doesn't increase it in any way. Textbooks do that, not questions.

Asking questions in education does nothing but quiz people on their knowledge (thus giving the teachers knowledge on how their students are doing), it doesn't increase it in any way. Textbooks do that, not questions.
Telling someone the answer doesn't teach them how to learn for themselves, it only provides an easy way out. Granted, I've had plenty of teachers who refused to tell me how to do a math problem or something, but I wasn't asking them for an answer, I wanted to know how to get the answer; that's different.
Personally, I hate textbooks; and teachers who rely on them.
