I had to give someone "the look" before.
I was wearing a Led Zeppelin shirt and someone asked me "Is that a band?"
They had never heard of them!

Bandshirts are against the dress code at my school. I wore my Dark Side of the Moon shirt about once a week and none of the teachers realized it, except the physics teacher, because he's awesome like that.

Wouldn't let me wear it during the unit on light. Damn.

Knew about them for a very long time.

Stuff like that though is pretty sad. Like with Metallica.. I'll ask someone what their favorite Tallica song is.. and they'll go "Umm, that song called 'Never Never Land'. Man, I love Metallica!" Even though the track is actually called "Enter Sandman" ...

Exactly, which is the main reason I take a dislike towards modern bands. People "love" bands, and the only songs they know are the singles on the radio. They don't even own albums.

I see this 90% of the time with modern bands, but, as you show, it happens to classic bands too.

Yahh. People who aren't knowledgeable about music turn me off immediately most of the time, since that's one of my favorite things.

In what ways do you consider yourself unique, if any at all?

I (unfortunately) knew who Aerosmith was before that lackluster game was released.

Oh god, I love getting into debates about music with people. It's hilarious.[/random]

Good question Tyly.

I guess I'm unique because I have a lot more life experience than other 20 year olds I know. Additionally, I've lived in three countries (albeit one was just for a few months) and speak three languages (and can communicate on a basic level in two others).

Another thing I was made to feel unique about is my musical ability. When I was going to the performing arts school, people generally had one or two strengths. You were either accepted into musical theater (singing/dancing/acting), or as an instrumentalist in the band that accompanied the stage performers. I was the principal flautist and one of the three girls always getting the major roles in productions as a vocalist/actress/dancer. I felt like such a diva, during the shows, I had my own designated stage crew member whose sole purpose was to retrieve, assemble and safeguard my flute while I was doing other things xD. [/tangent]

Then there's that whole uhh, Wiichat bus stop stereotypes thing where people said they'd assume I was a bimbo. I guess since they'd assume I was one, there is precedence for it. Me not being one = unique?

That is all.

I think I'm a lot more well-rounded than most people. I don't have one specific talent that I best everyone else in, but second in everything is unique methinks.

A bimbo? I certainly hope nobody ever called you that, anywhere.
