I'm a muslim Brawny

I thought about the fact that people might not be appreciative as much possibly. But I think the feeling that prinny is referring to should happen regardless of whether people praise you or not. It's feeling good that you did something good, not feeling good that others appreciate you.

Sex isn't the answer to everything Celeste.

Can't argue with that philosophy.

Yes, that's what I figured. As you emphasized "good works outweighing sin." Although, you did place a lot more emphasis on grace and mercy than most Muslims I've met do.

But it is the answer to a lot of things.

Skorp, what's your ethnicity if I can ask? =)

When people appreciate your help, it lets you know what you've done has benefitted them. If they don't express appreciation, you may feel they're indifferent to whatever help you offered them and that you ultimately just wasted your time and energy.

And I knooooow sex isn't the answer to everything.
If it was, my life would be full of unanswered questions, since, like, last September D:

I'm Indian, was born in India, came to the United States when I was 2. Lived here since then.

I don't think your time and energy is wasted if they don't acknowledge your help. You may have still helped them whether they thank you or not. It's like when you help an animal who doesn't know that you've helped it. You still feel good about helping regardless of whether it knows you helped it. I do understand what you're saying though, it definitely satisfying to be appreciated.

@Brawny - hehe maybe I have more to ask forgiveness for.

Anyone: Do you think that college scholarships should be given to people with a lower income, or people with higher grades?

I ask this because there are tons of people who can easily afford college but get high paying scholarships anyways. And in the ghetto college is generally out of the question due to financial problems.

Agreed, but do you think that a scholarship should be given to someone with slightly lower grades and a lower income over someone with better grades and a higher income?

Once again, one of those questions that can be easily answered with "both".

BUT, I think finances should play a bigger part. And if you wonder where the money comes from, take it off the sports scholarships.

I think that education at the start of schooling should be available to the poorer people so they can get the higher grades anyway...

If it's one or the other, then I suppose I'd give it the lower income guy, on condition that their grades are good enough.

Dogs - Much more playful and active. Although you do have to take a lot more care of them then cats.

Someone actually asked me this earlier. Spooky.

Anyway, my answer is cats. Dogs take too much looking after and they're loud.
