Kind of agree with that, but its not always true.
People don't always try and dress like the band, but certain genres of music usually bring out certain styles in people.

The music defines the listener. Well for me at least. Anything I listen to defines my mood or attitude at the time. Although I think I misunderstood the question kinda.
Do sometimes you wish you grew up in a different era?

Yes, I wish I grew up in the 60's or 70's. Great music, plus I would have never gotten arrested for the things that I have gotten arrested for.
