If you really didn't care, you wouldn't post or be subscribed to this thread.
You, in fact, feel superior for not initially feeling superior.
Modern culture has just melted our minds. No one is "right" or "wrong" anymore, they can have their opinions, and you can have yours. But that's not the way it works.
I'm sure you feel superior from other things, such as not smoking? But the best example is the irony brought up in my second sentence.

Not at all. All I'm saying is, people who don't care aren't going to start caring because you ask them rhetorical questions about others' perceptions of them in a Wiichat thread. It's great that some people care about grammar. Hooray for us. I don't feel, however, like we're on a pedestal and should be looking down on those who don't type like we do.

And even in a way, those who don't use correct grammar think so too.
It's not a matter of "non-usage of grammar is an art-form", it's just laziness. Their main points are "we're not in school." "This isn't a paper." "This isn't a job application."
So obviously they do believe proper grammar IS better than internet speak. The only debate here is if the internet and it's members are worthy of "good" language, or if they can get "lazy" language.

You know you earn a lot more respect from me if you try and spell correctly rather than purposely deface the English language. This site even has a spell checker.
If you're too lazy enough to utilise a keyboard and your own language, then I don't see why we should be so good to you in return and respect your replies.
Genuine mistakes, they're okay. Slaughtering the English language and knowing about it? No.
