Typing and speaking will forever be completely different things. Scripts are formed so that it is easy for the listener to digest, and I want easy to digest written English.

I see plenty of posts with good points but not the correct spelling. You know, it's pretty easy you just take the time to read everyones posts rather than thinking your better than them because of the way they spell.

Proper grammar is important for a number of reasons:

1. It shows respect to your peers. This could be comparable to a group of japanese boys speaking in Japanese at school while they are around others. This shows disrespect to the group as a majority. Typing poorly shows that you don't care how long it takes them to read your response as long as you're done typing as soon as possible. This is superiority, so I suggest you check your definition.
2. People who type with poor grammar cannot be taken seriously. A large part of forumming is debate. In the 'real world' it is much easier to persuade someone to join your opinion if you have a large vocabulary, good speaking skills and a strong way with words. This is also applicable to the online world, where those with poor grammar accomplish very little. Don't believe me? I didn't read any opposing posts except Jay's and Rachel's for the past few pages. Why the hell would I agree with you if you can't take the time to type properly? You obviously don't care about the topic at hand too much.

In my opinion, this thread was a warning to those who type improperly. Yes, I do feel superior to those with bad grammar. Why shouldn't I? No one can deny that my grammar is superior to theirs. You're correct, it is their choice, they just need to realize the consequences for their actions.

Did you not read my example? I wrote mispronouncing words and dropping letters. Not all people speak perfect English, amirite?
