I've used glass cleaner on my LCD displays for years - I just make sure I don't hose it down so that the cleaner runs down into/behind the bezel.
If you have oily fingerprints on it, you'll need something that will break them down or they will just smear.
Standard Disclaimer: Do this at your own risk / YMMV

You can buy a screen cleaner at your local entertainment store. For example, Best Buy or Future Shop. I'm pretty sure if you were to ask one of the store employees they would point you in the right direction.

Employee here, look in the home theater department of Best Buy, it's Monster brand, blue package. The bottle is big enough you'll never empty it, and it works really well (plus comes with a microfiber cloth). **Don't use anything with alcohol**

Actually it's ethyl alcohol that's an issue - professional AV folks have used pure isopropyl and distilled or deionized water for YEARS.
...but so this doesn't get into a big discussion, using a product specifically designed for cleaning an LCD is probably your safest bet.
