If we can have a dream-income, why can't we have dream-benevolence?
Just because +*!@#you#@!*+ have had the experience, doesn't mean you should extend your response onto everyone else. Or should we add that to one of your superpowers?

That's quite cynical.
I've just been poor forever and know what it's like, even when I have money I just can't bring myself to buying something nice because it could be used on something better that'll actually make a difference. People just simply don't need that much money.
Having money doesn't cloud my judgment. It may do for some people.

Haha, I didn't say that. It can definitely buy me a plane ticket, that's for sure.
Just excessive spending is quite pointless. I don't need that much stuff.

It's not cynical. I'm not suggesting I believe you would go off the deep end and become some material goods worshiping ahole. I think reasonably intelligent folks keep most of their psyche intact, even in sudden shifts of financial capacity.
I'm saying that it's easy to think you'd have these grand plans of spending as little as possible but without being put in the situation, you can't even begin to predict how you'd respond.
We'll use the car as an example. You have $10,000,000.00, tax free, sitting in a bank drawing huge interest.
You go out to purchase an automobile. You want something nice, not incredibly ostentatious. You go to look at $25K cars, something mid-level. Across the street is a BMW lot - they have a nice sedan, a 5-series, that is $75K. It has several extra features and higher rating by consumers, the dealer makes you feel like the service will be better, the seats are better, it has a better sounding audio system, etc.
Do I really believe given the choice most people wouldn't buy the $75K car with $10,000,000.00 on tap? No I don't and that doesn't even come close to making me cynical.

Ironically, the more money I had, the less I'd actually spend on the ticket.
one-way vs. roundtrip for the slow
I'd rather help out friends, but that's just me.

I'd do what Brawny does. But serouisly what I would do:
Open my own business. Better yet, give my dad his own business. He's always dreamed of running his own company but we couldn't afford it.

I honestly probably wouldn't buy a really nice sports car, I kinda like how the car I have now handles actually. I don't care about what kind of car I have because I don't really even spend much time in it.
I probably would end up spending lots of money but not on fancy things which are completely unnecessary(like decorations and such)

I'm sixteen years old. If I had the possibility to change the world for the better, I'd do that - not buy the sports car. I don't need $10,000,000. I'm looking forward to living a life dependent on working. If, by chance, I was given the money, I'd know how to spend it. I think it's shameful to buy those expensive cars when there are people dying in developing countries.

I'd buy my mom her dream car (a convertible all white leather interior 1960's VW bug), and probably my dad too but I'm not sure what his dream car is LOL. Actually I'd probably buy my little brother a car too since he just turned 16 and is obsessed with getting his license. Then I'd buy my girlfriend a ring. Then I'd buy a new guitar. Oh, and a car for myself. Heh. I like this game..
