iTouch hacking

OK it might be a stretch trying to find an answer here..but I thought I'd give it a shot.

I have an iTouch and I noticed many iTouch owners use JailBreak to use more apps. and maximize their Itouch's performance. Any iTouch users here who have had any experience with it? Is it safe? Worth it?

Thanks

Definitely safe, and DEFINITELY worth it.
Do it, you won't regret it. It's simple and it gives you the ablity to get soooooooo much more out of your iPod. It becomes way more fun, and actually worth the money.

Do it. Celeste was the one who convinced me to as well.

You're spending 300 dollars on an item that only comes with seven apps, then expected to pay more if you want to get additional apps.

Not jailbreaking it would be foolish to do.

If you're worried about getting in trouble, just restore it through your iTunes to a previous state.

actually, the new iTouches come with 12 apps, but (while I don't own one myself), I would go for the jailbreak. If it were an iPhone, I would advise against it, but since it's just an iPod, you won't miss anything with any Apple-released updates (which you won't want to download after you've jailbroken it).

Sucked for me. I bought it a few weeks after it came out. Oh well, mine is jailbroken and if I want the apps, I'll get them.

An important fact to remember OP, is that after you jailbreak it if you decide to, when you connect your Touch to the computer and it asks if you want to download the new version of iTunes, DON'T. Currently, the jailbreak only works with version 1.1.1

At least that's how it was when I got my iPod jailbroken.
