All these guys are funny in varying degrees, but none can hold a candle to Robin Williams.
I think the list of suggestions is a reflection of the average Wiichat demographic, though. Those are the comedians of their generation. I've seen their movies and material, but have been around long enough to consider people like Robin Williams in the mix too, and I have to say his humor wins by a long shot. Williams' humor has wit, while a lot of those other comedians, although they have their moments, depend too-heavily on "dumb humor".
Yeah I'll have to agree if I think of some older actors. Robin Williams is just comedy gold.

Bill Murray, Richard Pryor and Dan Ackroyd...ok I'll admit I'm old
More outstanding choices I forgot.
One thing that's impressed me about comedic actors like Bill Murray and Robin Williams, is how terrific they've been in dramatic roles as well. Williams was on an episode of L&O the other night, spooky and dark (like his role in 24 Hour Photo).

Brick Tamland: Yeah, I stabbed a man in the heart.
Ron Burgundy: I saw that. Brick killed a guy. Did you throw a trident?
Brick Tamland: Yeah, there were horses, and a man on fire, and I killed a guy with a trident.
Ron Burgundy: Brick, I've been meaning to talk to you about that. You might want to find yourself a safe house or a relative nearby and lay low for a while, because you're probably wanted for murder...
Boom!
There are too many quotes from that movie. You could easily speak nothing but anchorman quotes for an entire day. There's always something that applies, no matter the situation.

Hahaha, yeah, nearly every line is quotable - Old School didn't stick with me as much though, but Talladega Nights has several terrifically quotable scenes - the stuff around the dinner table is amazing:
Ricky Bobby: Dear Lord baby Jesus, or as our brothers in the south call you, "Jezus," we thank you so much for this bountiful harvest of Dominos, KFC, and the always delicious Taco Bell. I just want to take time to say thank you for my family. My two beautiful, beautiful, handsome stricking sons, Walker, and Texas Ranger, or TR as we call him. And of course my red hot smokin' wife Carley, who is a stone cold fox.
Cal Naughton, Jr.: mmm...
Ricky Bobby: Dear tiny infant Jesus...
Carley Bobby: Hey, um... you know sweetie, Jesus did grow up. You don't always have to call him baby. It's a bit odd and off puttin' to pray to a baby.
Ricky Bobby: Well look, I like the Christmas Jesus best, and I'm sayin grace. When you say grace, you can say it to grown up Jesus, or teenage Jesus, or bearded Jesus, or whoever you want.

Ricky Gervais appears in GTA so you should get it then you can kill him! Do you hate Gervais that much that you would buy GTA to kill him? Or do you hate GTA more?

Darkprinny...I didn't mention the great brits of comedy as most of them were in sitcoms and I guessed most people on here wouldn't have heard of...guess I was wrong as you obviously watched similar stuff to me. Harold H. Corbett another genius
