Emotions are pointless. They are irritating. They destroy you. They enable you to question humanity's two goals here on Earth- to breed and to work. Indeed, emotions actually make life and humanity's two goals a lot harder.

So, why hasn't a scientist demolished emotions yet? You'd have thought it'd be top of the agenda. Think about it. A world without emotions. No hate, no sadness, no depression, no embarrasment. On the contrary, we would miss out on small, temporary emotions like happiness and love. But what use are these emotions if they are not permanent? In fact, these emotions usually provoke bad emotions anyway.

The only thing that stands in humanity's way of being perfect is emotions. No war, no crime, no emotional illness'.

So, what are your thoughts on emotions? Do you think they should be abolished?

Emotions are what make life worth living. There's no point in humanity being "perfect" if we can't enjoy it.

My philosophy is that we create our own reason for being, beyond merely shagging our brains out and work.

If that truely was the purpose, surely the army ant or bees are more "perfect" than us?

What we don't get is that perfection is subjective and merely a concept.

Personally, I'm fine with people feeling emotions, even if they are irrational. There's an upside to every down side.

Maybe if you're talking about perfection in levels of intelligence, but having no emotions seems completely ridiculous to me. That would make for quite a horrible world.

move is DEFINITELY under rated. one of my all time favorite films. anyways i think a world without emotion would be terrible. why not just kill all humans and replace them with robots. it would be the same.

I curse emotions often, trust me, but I could not imagine a world without them.

That is the first thing that came to mind.

Without emotions, humanity's greatest gift of laughter will not exist. Without laughter, there is no joy and without joy, each day will seem more like a task than a gift.
