Points for wins?

hey..just a quick question to those of you that have purchased the released game in the UK...since you can play online is it ne thing like the xbox where you get points and stuff for wins..not really a good example but say with Halo..the more you play the better the level you become kinda thing?...not sure how ne thing will work for online play S::S:S:S:

You get 1 point added to your wins if you win and 1 point added to you losses if you lose. Every 'season' your wins and losses get put back to 0-0 but your rank stays the same.
