Does anybody know how to do them really rough tackles? It has something to do with the nunchuck but when I shake it nothing happens.
these tackles happen a lot in the striker cup, its really annoying.
can somebody help?

Aren't tackles used with your Wiimote? For the hard hits, the parts where they go slo-mo, probably is when the person is about to do something cool, like a possible goal shot such as a charged shot, skil shot, etc.

the hard tackles happen when the other teams characters like ram straight into you, knocking you away.
normal tackles are used with the wii-remote though yes.

You flick the Wii remote to one side pretty fast, and you ram into someone near you.

You can do a soft tackle by pressing the D button. Although it is not as good as hit you dont give away a power up which can be a factor.
