hi i just bought a usb recharger for nds lite do i need my comp switched on for it 2 work?

probably, but you can find out for sure by plugging it into the computer with the power off if the recharge light comes on you don't need to turn the computer on.

id stick to the good old charger, i mean , come on, theyll obviously charge better, and its one more free space in your usb hub of your computer!

I think you have to have the computer on....i charge stuff but the computer is always on lol.

USB charger are only useful when the device communicates w/ the computer or your outlets are taken.
