I used to love this game, but now I hate it. Has anyone else experienced this with FF III for DS? Her'es why:

(SPOILERS BELOW)

After going through a maze dungeon which serves as the gate, you are given a final chance to save before entering the last dungeon of the game. This painfully long dungeon takes many attempts before you beat it's boss only to find out that he isn't the boss, and you continue on, in the spirit realm.
Here you face at least four more bosses in what seems to be a brand new dungeon, only you still don't get a save point. You eventually die, either from exausting your supplies (there's no shops in this seemingly endless excursion.), or dying from one of the many bosses, who constantly kill your party members in one hit.

For each time you try to beat FFIII, you will not only be treated to an inevitable death after hours of playing with no save points in sight, but there is bonus torture: A huge-ass boring cut scene that you can't skip between stages! Hope you like reading pages of text over and over again!

Now I have vowed to sell this piece of crap, rather than waste another 3 hour session resulting in another death. Am I doing the right thing?

Yes, FF3 for DS was not the SNES version I had expected. I gave up after about 7 hours into the game.

Yea sell it...I just couldn't stand the game. I hated dying and then haveing to do something all the way over again. And random battles scare the hell out of me...

but you know I noticed something yesterday talking to one of my friends, somehow FF came up in the subject and then and there I relalized that I had never completly beaten a FF game...and I've played about 6 of them...how pathetic am I...

Well if random battles scare the hell out of you I can see why you've never finished a FF game. I don't mind them.

I have actually loved FF III DS up to this point. It's just very anoyying to spend 10 hours on an RPG that never gets recorded because you spend all your time getting game overs from the lack of save points.

Lol i might of exagerrated that a bit, but I don't like them, they get annoying after a couple thousand. Closest I've ever come to finishing one was probably FF 10. Got to the last couple bosses I believe

FF takes alot of dedication. The best thing to do is just hide it from your angry eyes and boiling blood for a couple weeks to months. That way, once the frustration has evaporated, you can give it another go and see how you fare. That's what I usually do when I get stuck in a FF game.
