Is this real?

Supposedly the game was completed for demo purposes and to pitch the idea. I remember the guy from IGN talking about playing it a year or two ago.

There are videos of it running though. And the earlier poster was right, it was done as a game proposal but didn't get past that stage.

It was an idea that was pitched, but never made it past the demo stage. Shame, it would have been really cool to down Elites with the slash of a stylus.

I would assume this game was made into a demo before Microsoft acquired Bungi or maybe other reasons.

You may be able to find the demo on the net if it did leak, we all know u can get the ROM of Starwing 2 (Snes)

No, it was pitched to Microsoft well after MS owned Halo.

And really, though it won't happen, there's no real competitive reason for MS to be afraid of the DS. They don't have a competing mobile platform, and by putting content like Halo (To wit, Halo 1) on the DS, they could draw some of the 40 million some odd DS owners that don't own a Wii into getting a 360 instead and make a DS360 alliance. DS for casual stuff, 360 for serious games.

Yep, it was very much real at one point. Obviously it is canceled now, and not going to happen.....but the demos of it are real. You can watch Bozon from IGN actually play it in a video.
