New Nintendo DS to feature Mii Integration?

It was reported on earlier today Nintendo is getting ready to unveil a brand new Nintendo DS at E3 2008 in July.
Sources are beginning to reveal further information in regards to what the new handheld could feature.
The most likely add-on will be Mii integratioin with the new Nintendo DS. This means that users will be able to create a Mii on the Wii or DS, and then have that Mii go back and forth between the two consoles.
This could allow Nintendo to create something along the lines of the PlayStation Network or Xbox Live where users can have their Mii act as their user name for online games via the Nintendo WiFi Connection.
We have already begun to see the Mii characters used in online games with Mario Kart Wii.
The Mii characters are also rumored to be involved in a new version of Pictochat, which will enable chat over a WiFi connection.
The new Nintendo DS and Wii may also be able to share messages of text, pictures, etc. Currently users can send messages from one Wii to another Wii. This could expand by sharing messages from the DS to the Wii.

cant wait for e3.
the new ds might be worth a buy for me idn. ive already bought and sold 4 handheld systems in a year. im so indecisive. not to mention the ps2/wii i sold...and now my ps3 is getting sold lol.

Thats intense. I wonder if it will look any different or what the deal is with that? They couldn't possibly make it any smaller..maybe they're just introducing a new color for lite or something and then sneaking the new features in there and calling it a new DS.

i just hope it will be backwards compatiable. and be able to take this certain chip im not allowed to discuss. if so, im all for buying it. especially if it can chat wifi over pictochat.
now what they need to do is seriously bring back connectivity like the gba gcn did. buy that i mean bein able to play nes, possible sega master games via transfer to ds, expandable gameplay with both wii titles and wiiware titles.
nintendo needs to get their connectivity game back. especially knowing how many people own their products. over 70 million people have a ds and almost 25 million have a wii, and still strongly rising.
and on a further note, nintendo should be embaressed that the less selling psp and ps3 have their connectivity game further progressed compared to the ds and wii.
