Like NES the SNES had an upgrade as well.
"In October 1997, Nintendo released a redesigned SNES 2 in North America for $99 USD (which included the pack-in game Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island)"

hey i had one of these... i always thought it was just a normal snes. Too bad my dad sent it to pakistan to my cousins i would have sold it for alot of money.

i cant tell how big it is from the pic, but i assume it is the same size, if not bigger than the wii... how technology improves!

SNES 2? I just called it a Super Famicon, because the looks are based off of the Japanese SNES.

Actually I believe it is called SNES jr. I read it somewhere but I might be confusing them.

wasn't really the SNES 2...it was just a new model. My friend had that, it was just a re design.

like the ds and ds lite?? it seems nintendo does that alot, it sells too, the ds lite sold a WHOLE lot of systems

Right, it was a sleeker design than the original US SNES. Bigger than the Wii though, it wasn't that much smaller than the SNES.
