Have ever noticed in the orginal mario when you finish the level mario takes down the peace flag and puts up a red star. What you think thats for?

Thats not when the fireworks come dude... I got this Mario Encyclopedia thing.. it says that the fireworks come when u have a certain no. on the end of ur points.. summin like '1' '3' or '6' ending.. can't remember for sure though
