Resident Evil Archives: Resident Evil Zero Release Date-1.052009-10-30 09:30:43Maura SCapcom has today announced that Resident Evil Archives: Resident Evil Zero for the Wii™ will be released in North America on December 1st.* The Resident Evil Archives series gives Wii gamers the chance to revisit the old RE classics at a low price of $29.99. Resident Evil Zero is a perfect case in point, being previously only available on the GameCube. The prequel to the very first Resident Evil game, Resident Evil Archives: Resident Evil Zero shines further light on the shady dealings of the Umbrella Corporation, and players even get to find out how the T-Virus that started it all off came to be created.


The plot centres on Rebecca Chambers, a rookie S.T.A.R.S. Bravo Team member who is sent to Raccoon City to investigate a series of brutal murders. When she discovers a military truck full of corpses, she is dragged into a horrific nightmare scenario, which quickly becomes a matter of life and death. Eventually Rebecca meets up with ex-Marine Billy Coen, and the two work together to battle their way out of Raccoon City without becoming zombie food. To reflect this relationship, players can control both Rebecca and Billy at the same time via the Partner Zapping system. Die-hard Resident Evil fans might also enjoy revisiting the last of the main titles in the series to use the old Resident Evil gameplay system before it all changed in Resident Evil 4.
