WiiWare Demos on the Way?-1.052009-11-03 19:00:18Maura SJapanese gaming news website Andriasang.com is reporting that WiiWare demos could very soon be available on the Wii Shopping Channel. The site gleaned this information from a Q&A session at a financial meeting in Japan last week, where Nintendo CEO Satoru Iwata made the following statement: “As an experiment to see if we can expand our customer base by offering demos on WiiWare, we hope to run tests for a limited number of titles as early as next month.” So, if these remarks are anything to go by, it’s possible that there will be WiiWare demos available on the Wii Shopping Channel by the end of November. When questioned further on the matter, Iwata revealed that Wii Shopping Channel download sales were smaller than Nintendo would like, hence its willingness to experiment with demos as a way of coaxing more potential customers into the store to try and buy.
