im facing the first goron where u have to climb up the ropes and, hes rolling, and all it says is that u ca grab him

You don't need to wrestle the rolling gorons. Just grabbing them is enough. If you don't have any boots yet go back to the village.

For normal Gorons that roll towards you, put on your Iron Boots and press A when it says so. This will push the Gorons out of the way.

For the first goron you see going up Death Mountain, you can't grab him. Let him knock you off the ladder, and leace. The chief is waiting, and he tells you to go see the mayor of your town. Go see him, and he will give you the iron boots. Sorry if you've already been through this. Go wrestle the chief, and put on the iron boots immediately. Fight him with A, and slap him with the wii remote, and grab him. Good luck.

I'm having trouble with the wrestling too. What is the strategy for sidestepping? I keep moving around but I always get hit? What direction are you supposed to move -- away from the slap or towards it? Does changing directions a lot help? Is there something that tells you which way to move to avoid getting grabbed?
