no i don't think anyone has a modded wii over here, i mean i got dozens of friends who thought it wasn't even possible.. so yea thats crazy there selling burnt games. I wouldn't mess around with that, cause i heard of alot of sting ops that have been going around selling ripped games, and movies, its almost as illegal as selling cocaine or weed.

if i wanted a mod chip id want it to do the things you can make a 360 or regular xbox do, play with the lights on the front (i want it to glow when i have a game in!) allowing you to gateway between the wii and computer so you can stream music onto the wii, or view video files from your computer on your wii system... record from the wii onto computer and whatnot... those are the capabilities id like to see from a mod chip

you know, i think there may be a way to mod the wii so the light glows when you have a game in it, but im sure it hasn'tbeen discovered yet.

I hope they let you use the Wii has a media center even without modding, hell it would be nice if the Wii would let DVD's play!

im not so sure with all the debate going around, and i don't know much about internal hardware on the wii, but i think you would be able to upgrade the wii through future updates. hopfully. I dont wanna touch my wii on the inside anymroe...

I had a modchip 1.5 months ago... My friend from college works for the most popular company of modding that I will not mention. I can direct anyone to where to buy and how to install. Hi, I don't think any mod chips have made there way over to the UK yet, but I could be wrong though. I would wait for a while anyway to see if Datel get any luck, as I don't fancy having my Wii opened and messed up if it goes wrong by the shop I take it too. I am not interested in ripped wii games, only on games that released in America or japan first, like excite truck.

none of the modchips out now ( about 4 or 5 ) unlock region codes. The problem is american games are based on the NTSC system and the european on the PAL system, this means the entire game is coded differently. Eventualy there probbably will be a modchip that unlocks regions but that might still take a while
