No dvd playback for Wii?

I dont know if its been posted before but according to gamesradar the wii wont come with dvd playback...

The Wii console will not support DVD playback when it launches later this year, according to Nintendo's official site. This comes despite DVD playback previously being listed as a feature of the new console. But, in all fairness, does anybody care?"

It doesnt bother me to much but would still be more convenient with dvd playback

apparently theres an ad-on you can get to play DVDs

meh, this is more of hardware, but yah its no big deal, everyone by now should have a DVD player! SORRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRYYYYY nitendo is concentrating on games so much!
