Does such an adapter exist?.. I bought a 1gb Memory Stick Pro Duo (kind of expansive) for my PSP, which I sold, and now I see that the Wii is gonna use SD card. Am I really gonna be stuck to buy another card..?

no i dont think so but sony have made a memorystick pro duo usb adapter

yes, the whole point of the memory stick is for sony to screw you over. Nintendo is using sd because they are nice people.
This is why blue ray is forced into the ps3

So what kind of memory unit do we need? Is it a special nintendo SD card, or just any old (or new) SD card?

i think it just uses normal ones because you can use digital cameras sd card to download them

ive found these adapters for the duo,there made to adapt the duo to a standard memory stick,anyone know if this will work?

Thats nice but the Wii takes SD cards not Memory Sticks. Also why did you bring up such an old thread?
