call of duty 3 wont be online for the wii! Activision have confirmed that the Wii iteration of Call of Duty 3 will not feature online multiplayer unlike its Xbox 360 and PS3 counterparts.

News comes after US magazine Game Informer stated that the title would include multiplayer functionality for up to 16 players online. However, in a statement made this week, Activision announced the following:-

“That was a misprint on Game Informer’s part. We wanted to clear up that the Wii version will not have online multiplayer, but is being developed to take advantage of the unique controls and provide an amazing single player interactive experience.”

Call of Duty 3 for Nintendo Wii is scheduled to ship this November

Yead i'd gathered there wouldn't be as a recent news story indicated that 3rd party developers didn't have access to that feature til late in the development process and so the first wave of 3rd party games won't be online.
