Im a left handed swords man (sheath on the right left hand at bottom of the kittana)
so will wii games be configerable so that they know that

its probably a dumb question

I dont think you should worry too much about being lefty. If you have seen one of the Wii clip, one of the guys was left handed and he looked enjoying the games.

The Wiimote can be used in the left or right hand. I assume you're asking if you can configure something like Red Steel to put the katana in the left hand of the character. In which case, I'm not too sure. You'll really have to wait for them to say one way or the other. I'm sure they'll include that, as it's a simple feature.

i hope so. it would be a great feature for everyone. i dont think it will be like that on zelda because they changed links hand thingy.

The diffrence is that in most/all games the sword is drawn out with the right hand

on the subject
think that it will have a sheath the sword thing in red steal

Its all up to the developer as to which motion can be used for what, most game I have heard have this option but it's just like a developer could decide to use the d-pad on ps2 for action buttons instead of the traditional action buttons so this is all software and no way to have a finite answer.
