I have a 37" HD Sharp Aquos. This morning I was doing a tennis warm-up on the "target" game in the Sports Pack and I got TOO close to the screen. One of my shots hit the screen with the Remote Controller and it appears that I put a 5" scratch right in the middle of the screen. I WAS using the strap, but I was just too close.

So, I'm looking at this ugly mark and really SMOKED as to what I had done. I figured I was going to have to adjust to looking at this mark as long as I owned the set.

After I calmed down, I got a soft towel, put a little water on it and was able to rub the mark away! The Sharp has a soft membrane feel as it is a LCD. The moral of the story is don't get too close in the heat of battle. I suspect if my screen was a CRT, it would definitely be ugly right now.
