disconnection of wi fi connector

before i was going to get a wi fi usb connector i rang gamestation to see if they had any in stock and they didn't and said don't bother getting one it just keeps on disconnecting , does it ??

If you read the forum for Wii Online you will find many complaints. They are low power and with a bad antenna
