i just replaced the batteries in one of my wiimotes. now, whenever i go to turn the console on or off, the four lights start blinking. then when i turned it on manually, still nothing is happening w/ the motes. the pointer wont show up on the screen. no matter what button(s) i hit, the four lights blink for an extended period of time, and then nothing.

You have to push the sync button on the Wiimote and on the console.

This happens all the time on mine as people often bring extra remotes for four player and take the wrong ones!

I normally hold the remote pretty close to the wii, press both synch buttons together and hold for about five seconds then relase both at the same time and keep it close till it clicks in.

Hope this helps...

yeh iv found this problem when i first had to sync my remotes. i think i just sort of fiddled about with it till it worked, it can be a bit of a bother when you replace the batteries though so im considering buying one of them battery chargers then im sure you wont have to sync it every time you put in new batteries. can anyone confirm that?

Just unplug your power cord from the wii and plug it back in.

The wiimotes should work like new.
