wii remote issues....probably a simple one

Have had wii since Xmas and had 2 remotes. Since setting up one remore has been handset 1 the other obviously handset 2. Today these switched for some reason. Any thoughts and can someone advise how to go back as was...i =know its not vital but its puzzling me...help !!!

thants what i thought but both wwere working allbeit a bit erreatically. I spose what i need to do is remove batteries, replace and resync in order i want is that right?

Replacing batteries, and syncing them again, would help.
