How Long is the Wii Update?

Hi Everyone,

One in a while my Wii will do it automatic update via Wireless, now how long do these update usually take?

I think it might depend on the strength of your connection. But otherwise it really shouldn't take more than 2-3 minutes unless it is a somewhat large update.

depends on your connection. Mine take no longer than a minute but I've heard of people's taking numerous tries (do to freezing after several hours) or quite a few hours.

i have a really weak single and it takes my wii like 15 minutes. i wouldn't worry about it.

My wii usually updates in a few mins, but my neighbour next door also has a wii and it takes him 20 mintues sometimes. It all depends on your connection.

with my wifi connector, and my VERY slow internet here in Japan.. itd take me about 3-4 tries lol. Usually about an hour each try before it timed out.

Yeah, I'm using a Wireless router about 15 feet away and updates take me around 10 Minutes. Getting the Internet connection routed to my room. Going ot have like no lag super speed hehe. As for you 10 - 20 Minutes is all it should take, If your using a WIFI adapter on dial up at aroung 30 feet you may experience longer times
