Looking through the forums, i keep seeing members mentioning Friend codes. Was just wondering what these friends codes actually are and what can they be used for on the wii?

Friend codes are a ridiculous measure Nintendo added to games that are playable online. Ontop of your own Wii Number, there is a Friend code for the specific game. In order to play with your friends on that game, you have to enter their friend code and they enter in yours.

You can still play strangers are random, but to play with your friends and see if they are online or not, you have to enter in the code.

Do both people need to have the actually hard copy of the game, and are these friend codes generated by the game itself. Ive only heard Mario Striker Football or what ever it is called is playable online atm. Any mohh2 but that is going to use ea netword. Anyone know what games are avaiable for online play on the wii.

Yes; the game generates the Friend codes. they're different for every game and every person
