I had two problems that were addressed on here. First, the color was too bright and hard to read. I went and bought an S-Video cable and that fixed it immediately. The second was getting online with wireless. I added the MAC address to those allowed access through my router. Thank you for all those that helped. I already downloaded and played two games.

I only get video when plugged directly into TV
I'm using the standard composite (Red/White audio, Yellow video) cables. I've tried plugging into the video in on several devices, one is a A/V switch that all of my peripherals (XBOX, game cube, DVD player, cable box) are plugged into. I've also tried going into the Video in on my DVD player. I don't get video this way, only when plugged directly into the TV. Makes it a real pain. I get stereo sound by plugging the yellow cable into the audio in on my dvd player, so I have to switch the dvd player to aux 1 and the tv to the video in. Real pain when you have so many peripherals!

WII VIBRATING LOUDLY
I was very patient, and read this entire thread before posting this (it took like two hours) and I couldnt find anything about it, so someone please reply.
My Wii vibrates and makes a constant loud hum when I play. I have determined this to be a problem of the base and the main unit not fitting tightly together, so they vibrate against one another when the wii vibrates slightly inside. Now my Wii sits on it's side, with no base on it. I don't like it. Has anyone heard of this, and can anyone help?

Wii Remote
Hi guys, I've read most of these posts but still hold out some hope that someone can help me!
I've had my Wii for FOUR (count them), FOUR days! No problems at all, already highly addicted, playing until 01.00 some mornings! Went out on Saturday and brought a second Wii remote. Saturday evening I tried to sync the new remote to the Wii. The lights went out so I though it was all fine but my Wii had frozen. Tried re-booting and the new remote wouldn't work, neither would the original remote!
I've tried re-syncing both remotes. I've tried leaving the batteries out of both remotes overnight, plus un-plugging the Wii completely overnight, nothing has worked so far!
Want I really want to know is if I'm doing something stupid? I've tried syncing directly in front of the console, I've tried further away so the remote can 'see' both the console and the sensor bar. I've tried re-setting the console by holding down the sync button for 15 seconds. So, basically:
1. Am I syncing it correctly by letting it 'see' both the console and the sensor bar or does this really not matter?;
2. Do I need to keep the remote sync button pressed in or not (I have tried this both ways though);
3. My console is directly in front of a 29" TV, is it possible it's the glare from the TV affecting the sync?
4. Could it just be the remote or the whole 'Wii'?
I am going to buy new batteries at lunchtime (although I have tried the batteries from the brand new remote in the old one, no luck). Failing that I'm going to call Customer Services tonight and just keep my fingers crossed that they have a fix to this problem! Can't believe you can get attached to something so badly after only FOUR days!
Thanks for any help,
Linus

since if you open the wii you kill the warranty, don't do nothing.
Just call nintendo, if the can't fix it from the phone, they will probably send you a new one...

Linus,
1. yes you are syncing it correctly
2. no
3. highly doubt it
4. try another wiimote
and if the other wiimote does not work call nintendo, since all the ways possible to sync the wiimote have failed... the console needs repair.

Thanks Mau. I might call them, I've dealt with them a bunch of times since my DS Lite is always breaking... I just hate having to wait forever for them to repair my system and send it back to me.
Trippy: Try making up a number. Maybe it wants you to assign one?

Wiimote problem
Ok, I've had my Wii for a few months now, and I hooked up my Wii back at home after coming home from spring break. It worked alright at first, but about a few hours later, the wiimotes wouldn't respond. This happened almost directly after I played a Gamecube game. Any suggestions? Also, on another topic, the shop channel and the internet channel won't work, and they gave me a message like, "the Wii cannot connect to the server, please wait a moment and try again." So I tried again, an they still wouldn't work. All the other WiiConnect24 channels work except for these two. I will thank you for help on this topic, but I need to solve my Wiimote issue first. Thank You!
