I was on the Wii Shop Channel, and all of a sudden my Wii remote wont work anymore. Its flashing the 4 blue dots and wont do anything else if I press a button. I know its the original first controller because I marked it. I replaced the batteries, Got close to the censor bar and everything and everytime I try to play the Wii it wont work. Please help, I really want to play my games!
I had the same problem but what i done was get some normal non rechargable batteries and then hold the resync buttons then switch everything off then on again and it works
I just bought a Wii and hooked it up today and played for about 10-15 minutes and it shut off. I can only get the red light to come on so it is getting power but as soon as I hit any button at all, it shuts off. Anybody else have this problem? Nintendo is sending me a new ac cord but I am impatient and don't want to wait. Help?

I got a problem here, and so far I haven't seen a good post to fix it.
Here's a brief summary of what I did to the Wii.
-Took it out of the box and then put everything the same way as I did to my Wii, except 2nd floor.
-Boot it up, did all the configuration, went to System Update.
-Played my DS while waiting, came back after an hour, nothing. (still at like 1% alike range.)
-Unplugged it after googling about this problem, put it back downstairs, attempted update again. Went to around 5% and then stopped.
-Gave up, unplugged and plugged back in, tries to play Wii Play. Disc cannot be read error.
-Tried Wii Sport. Same thing.
-Tried Sonic and the Secret Rings. Boot up, but same error shortly after.
-Try updating for like 10 times straight with WiiConnect24 on, agreement agreed, and dozens of reformatting memory. Either freeze at the 1% or 5%. Disc never got worked around once.
So, here's the stats/problems of my uncle's Wii, which I am currently trying to fix -
-None of the Wii discs will read. Exception is Sonic and the Secret Rings, which got read but result in an error shortly after the boot up of the game. Wii sport and Wii Play keep on having "Disc cannot be read" error"
-Update always fails in completion.
-Tried making it standby and update through WiiConnect24. Shined the light for the entire night and still nothing.
-Gamecube discs work fine.
-Everything else (at least so far, haven't bothered going to much places yet) work pretty well.
So, anybody think I can fix it? I already sent a repair form through nintendo.com, but I was wondering is there a way to fix it.

This happened to me yesterday. I was fooling around on the wii menu and the remote suddenly stopped working. Resynching and replacing batteries yeild no results. All four lights just flash and flash as if taunting me. Please let me know if you got any information to solve your problem...
Oh, and I have two remotes, and they both do the same thing, so it is not an issue of one faulty remote, either, further I dont use rechargable batteries in the first place.
any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I purchased a Wii about 5 months ago (actually I'm typing this on it right now) Recently when I try to play a Gamecube game on it, it randomly gives me an error message and forces me to turn off the power. Our gamecube does the same thing but it is much older. Can anyone help me as to why it is doing this?
WHY DOES "UNABLE TO READ DISC" MESSAGE APPEAR EVEN AFTER GAMES HAVE LOADED UP? "Wii SPORTS" AND "WARIO SMOOTH MOVES" DO PLAY, HOWEVER. I HAVE TRIED THE SOLUTIONS IN THE MANUAL BUT NO LUCK.
I just got my Wii this past Saturday and have been getting that "could not read disc" message as well. I thought it was because I modded my Wii but that doesn't seem to be the case. Is anyone else experiencing longer than expected loading times as well?
I got a wii about one weeke ago and all was fine until now. Whenever im playing a game a message will appear saying that the wii remote has lost connection with the console and the player lights on the remote go off. Can anyone help me?
Hey, I'm starting to have problems with my Nintendo Wii and it's beginning to send me off the edge. If anyone could help me, that would be great . All right, here are the problems with my Wii:
1.) The power button is lit on green, but there is no video or audio. All the plugs are in the correct position, you can hear the cooling fan run pretty well, and the discs slide in, and eject. But there is still no video or audio.
2.) This problem evolved from problem number one. The power button is still lit to green, but there are no video and audio, the cooling fan stopped running, and there's a disc jammed inside the DVD tray.
Please, if there is anyone who can help me with this problem, it would be most awesomeness. If not, then I guess the warranty will help.
Helo wii gamers i need help please my problem is about my wirless internet my wii finds the modem and the 1st internet check workes then i try and go on wii shop and all the others but it says i need to press agree on something called wii network service agreement but i've looked everywhere for it but i can't find it help it is so frustrated
Has anyone had problems with their Wii not responding to anything? Mine won't turn on manually or through the "Wiimote". The small LED light isn't green or red. It's completely off and it won't turn on. I had this problem with my Gamecube a long time ago but at least with my Gamecube, LOZ: TP wasn't trapped inside along with my game data. I contacted Nintendo, but they have yet to email me back.

Contacting Nintendo with email won't do too much good, I suggest calling the help line.
Nintendo ususally doesn't even look at the email and sends you an automatic response with all these troubleshooting possibilities.
The number is: 1-800-255-3700
It's a 1-800 number so don;t worry about paying long distance
if they can't help you I suggest returning your wii for a new at no extra cost
Rep me if i'm helpful

Thanks for the number. They've been pretty good with emailing me back in the past, but I don't have time to wait. Well, I do, but I feel like this is an unecessary problem. Thanks.

every time you switch to a channel, menu, or game, you have to re-sync the second, third and fourth wiimote. if it just doesn't work, try sync-ing the second wiimote manually without connecting the first wiimote, in other words, make the second wiimote, the first one, number one, to see if it is the wiimote or the wii.
