How Does Wifi work/connect

I have had a wii for a year and i can't seem to understand how to get to play wifi or use any of the channels. Does anyone know an easy step by step guide i could follow. Thanks

What you could do is go to Wii settings/Internet/Connection Settings/New Connection/Search for new Access Point. If you have a wireless router, if you don't get an Internet adapter and hookit up to that. I'm pretty sure that works most of the time
