Broken wii

My Wii switches on and there is sound but no picture does anyone know what could be wrong

there is a weird, but rare condition that a couple members have discovered
- unplug your wii for 5 hours / overnight (i hope this helps you)
- click here for details

if you are really desperate pull the battery out also
- it will reset your clock and calendar to 2999 (and maybe reset other configs)
- be sure to reset your wii confg if this fixes it
- i included a pic to find the Wii Console Button Battery
- you will need a small screwdriver to remove the battery

it may be a little more complicated if you are using component video cables...

Works for Wiimote but not the console itself.

Check your video connection. If all else fails, try replacing the cable.

possibly your av cable is messed up?
or component. whichever youre using.
before taking apart the whole thing, just
get a friend's av cable and try using it.
if that isnt the issue, get a refund my man.

Thanks to the helpful people on this site . I have tryed the cables also tried what idjut has said, So looks like repair shop.

I must say I think there is a few rude and nasty individuals on here too. If you have nothing nice or helpful to say just dont say anything.

It was the cables , Ive had to use a HD Cable, not just the cable you get with the wii
